In the story Night by Elie Wiesel, we hear the story of Elie and his life as a Jew surviving in Nazi Germany. At this time Germany's economy was not doing so well and they were desperate for a new leader, and that is when Hitler came along and convinced the Germans to vote for him with witty speeches and even got the support of Catholic Churches but using the thought of Christianity as the main focus of his movement. Once he got the support of Christians, although not everyone agreed and were against what he stood for, he was appointed as the new leader, and he immediately reduced the peoples rights and brought lots of Jews to camps to later lead to his plan of exterminating all Jews in order to create the "perfect" race where he felt that Jews just did not belong, so in these camps he would kill these Jews in many different ways like using gas chambers and other forms of torture. Towards the end of this tragic time, 3 out of every 4 Jews were dead because of the Holocaust.
